RULES
All vehicles must be four wheel drive. Exceptions will be made for two wheel drives and dune buggies.
Stock class requires factory type frame, no body lightening, engine must be from same engine family that was available in that vehicle, and must pull 18” of vacuum at 1000 RPM.
Tube chassis allowed only in open class.
A cut tire is a tire which has a groove not stock that is larger than ½” in width, and/or has had lugs removed.
All vehicles must be equipped with safe tow points, be it a hitch, receiver, or some kind of secure device to be pulled out of the pit. No chains! If the tow point is not obvious, tell workers where to pull from prior to your run, or else they will use their best discretion.
All vehicles must have functional brakes that will stop the vehicle within a safe distance.
Batteries must be properly secured to the vehicle.
Seatbelts must be worn.
Helmets are required to be worn in every class.
Fire extinguishers are required to be onboard in all vehicles. One can be provided for the run if necessary, please mention this to officials during staging.
All vehicles that are restricted to running in only open class must have driveshaft loops. Vehicles that can run in a lesser class are only held to the safety standards of that class.
No chains, tracks, or wheel extensions can be used on your tires.
All vehicles must be equipped with a safe roll bar or hardtop.
Full firewall and floorboards required on all vehicles.
Must have a kill switch within reach of the driver seat belted.
All drivers must possess a current, valid driver’s license. Drivers under the age of 18 must have written, on-site permission from a parent or legal guardian, and a minor waiver signed.
All drivers and pit crew must sign a safety waiver.
All vehicles must pass an on sight safety and tech inspection prior to registration. If any time after the initial inspection, a vehicle is found to be illegal for any class in which it is entered, the vehicle will be disqualified for the remainder of the event.
Drivers appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs will not be permitted to compete, and WILL be forced to leave the premises.
A $50.00 protest fee must accompany protests. You must present your fee before you will be allowed to present your case. In the event that the protest is valid, your fee will be refunded. If your protest is not valid, the protested driver will receive the $50.00. Protests must be made prior to the vehicle in question making its run. If a protest is made about the run after the run, it must be made within 15 minutes of the end of the run. Protests may only be made by approaching specific race officials, which are designated at the driver’s meeting. Do not approach any driver you wish to protest.
In the event of a tie, the tying drivers will split the prize money for that place and the next lower place. All entrants below that place will be moved one place down in the standings. If trophies are awarded, the tying drivers will flip a coin to decide which driver will be awarded the larger trophy.
Late entries will run first and will pay an extra $5.00 per class. SO BE ON TIME!
Time starts with forward movement of the race vehicle. Time will stop when the front of the vehicle crosses the finish line or with the waiving of a red flag (forward motion has been stopped).
If a driver does not stop when a flag is raised, they may be penalized at the discretion of the officials.
Distance measured to centerline of the front axle.
If a driver hits more than 2 of the stakes s/he will be disqualified. Stakes will be every 14 feet.
There will be a 5 second/5 foot penalty for every stake that is hit during the run.
Driver can run once per class. Truck can run multiple times.
Tires measured with calipers to determine size.
If vehicle moved more than 10 ft., run counts. If not, one restart is allowed if truck stalls, hubs not locked in etc.
Final word is in the hands of the tech inspectors.
A minimum of 3 entrants is required for a class to run (except for powder puff). Any entrants in that class will be given the option of running in the next class up, or for a full refund.
In everything it is up to the discretion of the officials.
No crying or whining.
Let’s have a fun and safe time
