Clean-Up Run
Clean-up Run is a volunteer community event that the club does every
fall before the snow flies in the UP. The purpose of this event is
to clean up the local snowmobile trails of garbage, old applicances
or anything else people have disgarded on the side the side of the
trail.
The school donates a dumptruck or two for us to fill and usualy a
truck and trail for us to use for this event. Along with that the DNR
pays for the disposal of the usually 100 or more tires we find every
year and they also cover the cost of the demolition. The club get to
keep any of the scrap steel that we find and that pays for the meal
the club pays for after the run for anyone who helped out.
It's a dirty job cleaning up the trails but we have a fun time doing
it.
