You make think so, proper bump stops are critical to cycling tires effectively and to save the suspension from damage. Besides the reason I had to install this one is because I bottomed out so F'ing hard a while back the force smashed the bump stop into the "frame" and sheared the bolts off...

I wouldn't go so far as to say that they're critical for effective suspension cycling as they only stop the upward travel. I do agree that they can save suspension from damage though, inverting your leaf springs is a quick way for them to become wopped out.

Correct, I was referring to oversized tires cycling... Think I left a word out. I'll blame my iPhone.

The Toddmobile got new motor mounts, an oil change and liability insc. last night so it's ready to tow the rig up. I'm supposed to pick up my rear drive shaft for the rig after work today. Tonight i'd like to pack my tools, load the trailer. Tomorrow after work all I gotta do is hitch up and go.

Todd, I trust your steering work is in good shape??

Yes it is done. Just let you know via text as well. Lol

Finished up the steering last night. So tonight I need to do the once over on the rig since I BEAT on it two weeks ago. Unload A bunch of stuff from the 350 and do an oil change on it. Load the rig and pack.

Oh, and it looks as if Moon Boots will be joining us. Going to be with Phil.

This drive shaft thing is turning into a debacle... I can see me totally getting fucked over on this. The centering ball is allegedly pulling out of the ball stud now after they welded the new ball stud yoke on. Clearly they put the wrong ball stud yoke on it, or the wrong "bow tie" for the centering ball. They were trying to blame it on my "H-bar" which worked fine before no problem, and didn't pull anything apart... I re-iterated that it all fit together properly before so clearly they have the wrong parts. I expressed to them how important it was that I get the SAME "H-bar" put back into whatever shaft they give me because I clearanced it for angle.

I am going to punch a hole in a wall if I have to take apart a rebuilt drive shaft with expensive new joints and everything and spend hours clearancing an new H bar tonight. It took me a long time before when I initially clearanced that thing. I've never had a problem like this dealing with this place... figures it happens now at zero hour.

Where did u have the work done at so we can avoid them?

Also, I would worry about a drive shaft set back... I was rear ended in my jeep last night on I-94 and had to ditch it at speed to avoid a guard rail and fuel tanker rig. Lol no injuries And the jeep is fine over than getting stuck cause I dont have my front drive shaft on.( go figure!!!)

See you all later tonight.

They just called me and said that the new H-bar solved the issue and the ball stud doesn't pull out of the ball any more... how much do you want to bet when I get there, the new H-bar is going to be different than my old one and it's of the appropriate variety for the incorrect ball stud yoke they welded on?? I have never had problems with this place like this. I am going to demand answers when I show up there this evening. And if I get home and the hodge podge of shit makes my drive shaft too short, I'm going to lose it.

I'm wondering how it's possible that the old H-bar didn't work looking at it next to the new one. It looks exactly the same as the old one in every way. Oh well, Joint Clutch and gear did a nice job on the shaft and didn't charge me anything for the H-bar they ordered. I wish they would have had it ready yesterday, but oh well.

Trailer's loaded, and it's about bedtime. Hope everything goes ok...

R&V totally kicks ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Lots of trials for all types of rigs. The hard trials, black diamond, have some really cool features, and there is most of the time bypasses for the hard sections. Mud, rocks, hill climbs, you name it.

Everyone had a great time.

Looking forward to planning a winter wheeling run there this winter. When the ticket office opens for Snow Snake, they are open every weekend during the winter.

Hope to see the pics and video.
