Off-roading

Postby Homer » Tue Mar 28, 2017 11:52 am

Does anyone know of any good places to do any light offroading. Something a fairly stock truck could handle? Looking for somewhere to have a little fun untill I get my rig built up more.

Are you a member of the club? If so, I'm sure there would be plenty of people willing to show you around.

If not, stop in to the meetings on Thursday's and make some friends.

Club runs leave from Lot 14 at 10am on Saturdays, best way to start learning what trails you can make it through.

I'm sorry someone said that to you, that's ridiculous! Admittedly, there's some places that can get a little hairy, but there's some light offroading to get to most of the spots that are more difficult. It's not uncommon to have people drive their own vehicles down the trail until we get to the hard parts and they they'll hop in with someone else. Even just bombing down the trails with everyone can be fun. Stop by meetings on Thursdays at 7pm in Fisher 326, and we can make sure you get along on the run this weekend.

Yeah...but if wheeling were about covering ground in a time-efficient manner, we wouldn't be doing it at all.

Possibly head down to the porkies and run some core drilling roads?
