Poker Run
Poker Run is a traditional Fall event that takes place the first weekend
back after Thanksgiving break. The way this event works is we take
all the club members and vehicles that are wanting to participate in
the event and break them up into groups. We try to make every group
equal in ability by splitting them up by tire size, number of lockers,
GPSs available, HAM radio operators, CBs, and winches. A day or two
before the event is to be held a couple of club members go out and
put cards in the woods and then provide the teams with GPS coordinates
and clues as to where they are located, the member who put the cards
out also moniter our CB channel and HAM radio frequency for any of
the groups that require extra asistance but the assistance of sweep
will cost you.

The teams have a limited amount of time to retrieve
as many of the cards as possible, but they have to get every vehicle
in the group to atleast one card and have picture proof. Once the time
is up we all gather and give out prizes by the best poker hands gathered
throughout the day. A copy of the 2006 rules are located at the bottom
of the page.
The club also gives out prizes for the best stuck and the best break
of the day.
